Microsoft Recertification

As a follow up of the previous news item. Our colleague, Paul Karsmakers, is highlighting the most important changes about Microsoft Certification and Recertification.

Is your Microsoft Certification expiring soon? Renew it for free!

On March 1st 2021, Microsoft announced that 19 certifications are now available to renew on Microsoft Learn, with additional certifications following shortly. Within six months of a certification expiring, you can renew it by passing an online assessment – at no cost and on your own schedule.

More flexibility, less friction

The online assessment can be taken within six months before a certification expires, at a time that works best for you. You may take the assessment as many times as you need to pass.

Beta exams: sneak peak at upcoming technologies

Besides certifying and recertifying, taking beta exams is also part of the continuous learning mindset propagated by Microsoft. Beta exams give candidates a sneak peak at upcoming technologies while paying a reduced exam fee. Although most of the time the Microsoft Learn learning paths are not available yet, some preparation is possible. Beta exams aren’t graded straight away, so you do have to be patient.
