DycoTrade’s Element Pricing – A Commodity Trade Essential
Many commodity traders know the challenge: your price calculation can be very challenging as you are struggling with:
🔹 Your product consisting of multiple components, each with its own pricing
🔹 The price of each individual component may be defined by multiple factors, like varying content percentages, quality levels, exchange prices, etc.
🔹 The price calculation being based on the net quantity after accounting for contaminations, impurities and other weight corrections, instead of the registered shipment quantity.
With price calculations being so complex and yet so crucial in your business you have to support your traders and prevent them from errors or mistakes, no matter how small. Today often Excel is used: perfect for flexibility but killing for information sharing, typos, copy and paste errors, files crashing, etc. Excel is not integrated with your main transactional/ bookkeeping system (D365). This means things like updates, and insights are unavailable and more integration risks exist.
DycoTrade’s Element Pricing effectively addresses these needs by:
🔸 Linking quantity elements to a variable correction percentage, with optional additional cost components.
🔸 Linking pricing elements to a variable content percentage, with optional additional cost components.
🔸 Being fully integrated in the DycoTrade CTRM Solution and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance Accounting Solution.
DycoTrade CTRM already offers Component Pricing (building up your price out of multiple price components (Premiums) like valuation types per Price Component). Now, with Element Pricing a new pricing methodology is added to the CTRM Solution. Element Pricing calculates the price using multiple elements allowing for quantity corrections in combination with component pricing per individual element. Really a great extension of our existing pricing mechanism! 👌
