MultiLeg Transportation

Multi-Leg transportations

As a commodity trader follows the supply chain downstream, they encounter various modes of transportation: from the mine or plantation to the harbor, from the shipping harbor to the receiving harbor, and then on to warehouses and factories. The journey involves a combination of trucks, trains, and vessels of different sizes, each leg presenting its own set of challenges.

DycoTrade CTRM utilizes a logistics file to record all documents, assign costs and accruals, and make weight-based adjustments. We have incorporated a grid to monitor the multiple stages of goods shipment.

This grid enables the user to establish one or several segments, each with specific details (fields) that are instrumental in tracking a segment of transportation (for a comprehensive list of fields, refer to the detailed chapter).

      • Number of the leg
      • From/to Transport center
      • Type of transport
      • Transportation company
      • Estimated/actual time of departure/arrival
      • Ability to register on ore multiple registration numbers such as container numbers, truck license plates, etc. per leg

A bulk-update can change multiple lines at the same time, such as setting a date or status if for example a ship with multiple of your shipments is delayed.
